Es Cubells is one of the most charming, lesser known villages near Sant Josép in Ibiza. It’s a peaceful spot, far from the main centres, with incredible vistas.
With little secluded beaches, all very little frequented due to the difficult access, the location is often chosen for its tranquillity. As is the case of this stunning villa designed by the London-based designer Hollie Bowden. With its 13000 sq ft and has 7 bedrooms, staff quarters, gymnasium, health suite and spa, the villa is the definition of perfection. The characteristic of the modern yet agricultural house is that is filled with light and art. It’s all about the luxury but with modern yet rustic feel.
“I am drawn to natural pieces and finishes and artisan craftsmanship, I believe deeply in the integration of old and new, creating a timelessness. Taking into consideration the context and architectural history of a project is essential for my design process. I am forever sourcing antiques and have an eye for extraordinary pieces that might otherwise go unseen or unloved. Moreover, I see myself as a curator of spaces, as much as I do an interior designer.” Says Hollie Bowden.
The estate is surrounded by pine trees and its nor far away from several restaurants such Restaurante Es Cubells, Cas Mestre or the local favourite Ses Boques. There are also some great beaches close by like Cala des Cubells, Ses Boques or Cala Llentrisca and, a bit further away, Es Torrent and Porroig. Es Cubells has the charm of a small village where you can see tourist stopping by, but you can also sit and sip a beer with locals who run the organic farms in the nearby fields. Probably this is what makes this place perfect for a peaceful and relaxing home.
