Danish Weeks – Danish Design

This week I want to dedicate only at the danish design and Denmark. I’ll show you some of the newest home decor objects, interior design and a guide to the best places to visit when you are in Copenhagen. I truly loved that country after my small trip last year! And I think it’s finally time to share my impressions with you. The danish designers are one of my favourites so look what I’ve selected for you from their latest collections!

Vifa presents – The wireless loudspeaker Copenhagen. Amazing design and various color palette from Kvadrat.

Kasper Salto
is a Danish designer with plenty of prestigious awards and a style that is a combination between Danish tradition of furniture design and industrial design. He designed NAP – a series of light stacking chairs in 2010 for Fritz Hansen.

Danish lighting company Lightyears has an new addition to their lamp collection. This innovative pendant is called Aeon Rocket, designed by Morten Voss. Striking shape in familiar materials was the main vision when starting the project. The result is imaginative lamp that is combining metal and polypropylene in a single design.
Founded by an enterprising countess in 1825, Holmegaard is Denmark’s oldest and largest glassworks. It stays true to the countess’s original mission—to create glass with “heart and soul and integrity” — by collaborating with the best young Danish designers.

Danish lifestyle brand Nordal came up with an exciting spring/summer collection. Inspired by the Far East they will treat us to a unique collection of lovely colors and pretty shapes. Beautiful furniture, candles & lanterns, soft cushions and must have textiles. My absolute favorite part of their collection is the Blossom ceramics.. teapots, cups, super pretty plates and lovely bowls in different sizes.

Designer Christina Muff, owner of Kortkartellet – shop specialized in graphic posters that pay homage to various European cities, especially Copenhagen. Each is printed on high-quality paper and serves as a decorative reminder of a place you’ve been—or would like to go. Kortekartellet recently opened its first boutique in Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen.

I’m planning a new trip after the end of the project, but I’ll tell you more in one of my next posts!!!
