Ibiza restaurants – a topic always open for discussions.

The isla blanca changes every season and so many great restaurants are there waiting for you to try them. However there are also places that can not be find in the tourist guides and the locals adore. Check out my Ibiza guide for other delicious suggestions such as Can Berri Vell and Amante.

Sa Caleta – The good food

Sa Caleta is a historic sailor refuge where you can enjoy the one of the best Mediterranean Ibizan cuisine. Very good the paella, bullit de peix (typical ibizan fish soup) and the grilled fish. Also try the homemade desserts such as the typical flaò.

La brasa – The secret garden

It’s seriously one of the best places to eat in Ibiza city, but it’s absolutely necessary to book a table in advance. Otherwise you can make the hours-long line at the bar and wait for a table. The interior is chic and simply amazing with ginormous bougainvillea trees and sparkling crystals hanging like little stars. The food is mediterranean, if you are still wondering where to eat paella, this is the place. And be sure to check out the shop next door – Oliver.

Peyotito – The modern mexican

One of the two in house restaurants at Nobu Hotel offers a well chosen variety of margharitas to accompany the delicious mexican food. Be sure to leave space in your belly for dessert and try the Tres leches and Churros.

Sa Brisa – The best culinary experience

Since my first visit, when it was newly opened, I’ve been dreaming to return. A restaurant recommended in the Michelin guide with innovative presentation and fusion of spanish, asiatic an southamerican flavors. Try the tasting menus or just order some tapas and you won’t be able to think of anything else for days.

Aiyanna – The beach restaurant

The team behind Amante have smashed it with this modern and understated approach. Aiyanna is an idyllic spot for a perfect day at the beach. Every dish is not only delicious but also so well presented. Sometimes you feel like just taking pictures.

Hostal La Torre – The best sunsets

A rough sea and strong sun lend an epic aspect to its terrace, a key place for enjoying afternoons in Ibiza. At La Torre you will discover music and vibes that you can’t find anywhere else in Ibiza. Book a table in advance during the high season, it’s open for breakfast or dinner. However you can stop for a drink and watch the sunset from the rocks below the restaurant.

C’an Pilot – The meat spot

I’ve eaten way too many times to not mention it. No innovation, just great food. Meat dishes cooked at the moment and fresh vegetables. Another favorite of both the locals and mine.

Price range: $/$$

The post is not in collaboration with any of the mentioned Ibiza restaurants. These above are personal favorites of mine.
