Dutch designers Wiebe Boonstra and Marc van Nederpelt, of Dumoffice, designed a seating collection for Belgian brand BuzziSpace that gives a modern spin on traditional woven cane chairs. BuzziCane comprises a sofa (two or three seater) and chair with vintage-inspired woven cane backs and plush upholstered cushions.
Masquespacio, the Valencia-based creative agency, have designed many a colorful and unforgettable interior and now segued into furniture that falls right in line with their unique aesthetic. The ARCO collection, designed for Houtique, was inspired by the 70s and features bright, bold yellow frames with soft pink velvets made by Houtique.
French designer Mathieu Lehanneur looked to the ocean for a collection of tables, benches, and stools, which continues his Liquid Marble series. The pieces in the Ocean Memories collection look as if the rippling ocean water was frozen in time. They’re digitally designed and crafted out of blocks of marble or polished bronze yet the three-dimensional waves look just like that of actual water.
If there were a physical intersection between Germany and India then the roads would meet at Reclaimed Stories, a collection of five artisanal items that truly represent the best of both worlds. Established by two friends, Indian designer Nikita Bhate and German designer Pascal Hien, these items were originally part of a larger collection they designed for an interior project for an international, boutique fitness club.
Ukrainian design firm StudioPINE looked to delicious pastries when designing their CAKE Collection of furniture. The collection consists of a series of enticing sofas and armchairs that are soft and curvy, much like a cake would be.The sofa is oblong in shape, while the chairs are circular, both with backs that curve around to form the armrests. Shiny tubular chrome forms the base and legs, contrasting the rich green upholstery.
